Courtney Okolo (born March 15, 1994) is an American track and field sprinter who usually competes in the 400 metres. She starred at Carrollton (Texas) Newman Smith High School where she won multiple individual state championships. In college, she ran for the Texas Longhorns.

25 de abr. de 2016 · Never one to rest on her laurels, Okolo, who cites the last 200m as her strength, has worked hard with Coach Buford-Bailey on developing her speed over the first half. It paid off last month when she dismantled her former US collegiate record by a massive 0.32 seconds to clock 49.71 at the Louisiana State Alumni Gold meet in Baton Rouge.
A Bowerman Award winner and Olympic Gold Medalist, Courtney Okolo is among the most accomplished and decorated individuals in Texas Track & Field history. The former Collegiate Record-holder in the 400m (49.71), Okolo was a two-time finalist for the prestigious Bowerman Award (2104, 2016), and the first Longhorn to win that honor in 2016.
