Augustino Eugenio Mercurio OAM (10 August 1928 – 7 December 2010) better known as Gus Mercurio, was an American-born Australian character actor who appeared in radio, television, and film.
Gus Mercurio was an American-born character actor who worked in Australian TV and film. He was a former boxer, a referee, and the father of dancer Paul Mercurio.
Mercurio has refereed or judged world title bouts in Australia, USA, South Korea, and Thailand for the WBC and IBF. He was the third man in the ring for the IBF jr lightweight bout between Barry Michael and Lester Ellis in 1985.
