Charles John Robert Manners, 10th Duke of Rutland, CBE, JP, DL (28 May 1919 – 4 January 1999), styled Marquess of Granby until 1940, was a British peer and landowner. Biography. He was the son of John Manners, 9th Duke of Rutland, by his wife Kathleen Tennant, granddaughter of Sir Charles Tennant, 1st Baronet.
Frances Helen Manners, Duchess of Rutland (née Sweeny; 19 June 1937 – 21 January 2024) was a British peeress and socialite. The wife of Charles Manners, 10th Duke of Rutland, following his death in 1999, she was known as the Dowager Duchess of Rutland.

5 de jul. de 2013 · Charles Manners, 10th Duke of Rutland (1919-1999) Charles John Robert Manners, 10th Duke of Rutland was the son of John Manners, 9th Duke of Rutland. He was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, and became a captain in the Grenadier Guards.
The 9th Earl was created Duke of Rutland in 1703. In 1717 John Manners, later 3rd Duke, married Bridget (d. 1734), daughter and heir of Robert Sutton, 2nd Baron Lexinton, but the Kelham (Nottinghamshire) estate of this family descended to younger sons of the marriage, who took the name of Manners-Sutton.
