Daniel Mongrain is the founding guitarist/vocalist of Martyr. A long-time fan of Voivod, he joined the reactivated band in 2008 as a touring member in place of their late guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour and later went on to become a full member when they decided to continue on a more permanent basis.
