Gloria Morgan was educated by governesses and in convents in Europe as well as New York City, where she attended the Catholic Convent of the Sacred Heart (in the Manhattanville section of the city), the Skerton Finishing School, and Miss Nightingale's School.

The overall balance on the city council’s business support reserve in March was £7.9 million, subject to audit.
Skerton – In Times Past. Work is now underway on the redevelopment of Mainway Skerton and plans have also been submitted for the demolition of Skerton High School. In a few years time the area of Skerton and along the banks of the River Lune will be unrecognisable compared to how it looks today. But this is not the first time this has happened.
