Severo Jornacion. Website. OfficialSmithereens.com jimbabjak.com. The Smithereens are an American rock band from Carteret, New Jersey. [1] The group formed in 1980 with members Pat DiNizio (vocals & guitar), Jim Babjak (guitar & vocals ), Mike Mesaros (bass guitar & vocals ), and Dennis Diken (drums & percussion).
El grupo se formó en 1980 con Pat DiNizio (voz y guitarra), Jim Babjak (guitarra y voz), Mike Mesaros (bajo y voz), y Dennis Diken (batería y percusión). Esta formación continuó hasta 2006, cuando Mesaros dejó la banda y Severo Jornacion se hizo cargo del bajo.
In 1997, when Mesaros couldn’t make a Smithereens gig in San Diego, Severo Jornacion of Los Angeles was called upon to handle bass duties. Occasional fill-in opportunities followed, and when Mesaros decided to retire from the band, the energetic Jornacion — nicknamed “The Thrilla” — became a full-time member around late 2005/early 2006.

The Smithereens founding members Jim Babjak, Dennis Diken, and Mike Mesaros, along with Severo Jornacion, were joined by guest artists for “Time and Time Again: A Celebration of Pat DiNizio.”. The event took place at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ, on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

27 de may. de 2017 · The full original group played a handful of East Coast show in January, and then some more around Memorial Day — although Severo Jornacion, who joined the band in 2006, is still playing most of The Smithereens’ current dates.
