The John Popper Project (formally The John Popper Project Featuring DJ Logic) is an American jam band that plays a combination of rock, hip hop, and improvisational jazz. The group formed out of a jam session in San Francisco in December 2003 that featured John Popper of Blues Traveler, Rob Wasserman of RatDog, and DJ Logic.

Popper's latest side project is John Popper & the Duskray Troubadours, which plays Americana roots music. The group's self-titled debut from 429 Records was released in March 2011 and was produced by band member Jono Manson, who co-wrote much of the material.
One thing led to another, and in early 2004, John and Logic inaugurated the latest incarnation, dubbed the John Popper Project. JPP features John on vocals and harmonica, DJ Logic, Tad Kinchla on bass and Mosaic drummer Marcus Bleecker on the skins.

Zygote is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter John Popper. Produced by Terry Manning, it was released on September 7, 1999, less than a month after the death of bassist Bobby Sheehan (Popper's friend and fellow member of the band Blues Traveler).
