The Motors were a British pub rock band formed in London in 1977 by former Ducks Deluxe members Nick Garvey and Andy McMaster together with guitarist Rob Hendry (who was replaced in May 1977 by Bram Tchaikovsky) and drummer Ricky Slaughter.

The Motors then consisted of Nick Garvey (lead vocals, guitars), Andrew McMaster (bass, keyboards, vocals), Ricky Slaughter (drums) and Rob Hendry (guitar, vocals). Soon afterwards Hendry was replaced by Bram Tchaikovsky. The new line-up began touring with the Heavy Metal Kids in June 1977.
Motors, The. Andy McMaster and Nick Garvey got together in 1974 when the former successfully auditioned for a keyboard slot in Ducks Deluxe, a renowned London-based pub rock band. Garvey played bass in the short-lived Ducks.
