Celebrating 150 years of pioneering education. Camden was founded as a school for girls in 1871 by Frances Mary Buss, one of the great pioneers of women's education. The school therefore has a long tradition of promoting opportunities for girls. Our Aims.
The Camden School for Girls (CSG) is a comprehensive secondary school for girls, with a co-educational sixth form, in the London Borough of Camden in north London. It has about one thousand students of ages eleven to eighteen, and specialist-school status as a Music College . [1]
Decisions are made between students, parents and staff. Camden School for Girls is one of the few remaining maintained schools to offer the full range of classical subjects; Classical Civilization, Latin and Ancient Greek.
Students at Camden School for Girls once again collected outstanding A Level results in 2023, with attainment and progress above the national average. The school’s results headlines are as follows: Percentage A* 18% (National 9%)
