While 'Thornography' is clearly a conscious effort to move Cradle of Filth into newer and simpler commercial metal territory, there's no getting away from the fact that if you like your extreme gothic metal to be extreme and gothic, then you're going to struggle with this soulless, chugging, teenage version of the band.
