Ice Choir’s Kurt Feldman asked me to mix his band’s first full-length, Afar, in the fall of 2011. After working on the songs “Two Rings” and “The Ice Choir” for their first single earlier that year, I was excited to mix the full record but wasn’t sure quite what to expect.
Ice Choir, the 80's synth think tank from The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart’s drummer Kurt Feldman, is so indicative of the 80’s dream-pop and new wave ideals that it seems to have jumped right off the pages of Smash Hits.
