Retrato de Grandville por Émile Lassalle (1840) J. J. Grandville (Nancy. 13 de septiembre de 1803 - Vanves, 17 de marzo de 1847), fue un caricaturista francés. Su nombre real era Jean Ignace Isidore Gérard.
Grandville. Jean Ignace Isidore Gérard. Ilustrador francés. Nació el 3 de septiembre de 1803 en Nancy. Hijo y sobrino de miniaturistas, trabajó y aprendió junto a su padre. Cuando tenía veintitrés años se trasladó a París. Asistió al taller de Mansion y posteriormente al de Hippolyte Lecomte.

Grandville is a Hugo Award nominated British graphic novel series written and drawn by Bryan Talbot. It is a mixture of the steampunk, alternative history and thriller genres. It is set in a world in which France won the Napoleonic Wars and invaded Britain, and in which the world is populated mostly by anthropomorphic animals.
Jean Ignace Isidore Gérard (13 September 1803 – 17 March 1847) was a prolific French illustrator and caricaturist who published under the pseudonym of Grandville, and numerous variations (e. g. Jean-Jacques Grandville, Jean Ignace Isidore Grandville) throughout his career.
