Marz (aka Zlatko Hukic) started in music working as a tech in a Chicago recording studio (Chicago Trax), where he worked for various acts, including Ministry. Marz produced a demo which won him a contract with E-Magine Records, [citation needed] with whom he released the album "Lung Fu Mo She".

From that early age, he was exposed to a lot of the perils of the city. It was the late 70s, early 80s, and drugs and gangs were running rampant in the city.
