28 de may. de 1992 · Listing Jackson Browne as executive producer, AKA Grafitti Man is a compilation of Trudell’s previously released cassette-only collaborations with the late guitarist Jesse Ed Davis and Mark Shark (a mean guitar slinger himself), first issued on Trudell’s own label during the Eighties.
Trudell recorded an album AKA Grafitti Man ("graffiti" was misspelled in the title) with Kiowa guitarist Jesse Ed Davis that was originally available on cassette tape format only. This comports with the practice common to American Indigenous and other minorities of distributing music mixtapes.
AKA GRAFITTI MAN includes material dating back to Trudell’s work with Jesse Ed Davis and the cassette of the same name; as well as more recent material, much of which was co-produced by Jackson Browne, who also serves as the album’s Executive Producer.
A touring stint with Australia's incendiary Midnight Oil and roles in the feature films Thunderheart and Smoke Signals and the documentary Incident at Oglala helped spread the word of the artist's multi-faceted talents, as did a 1992 rerecording of AKA Grafitti Man, this time produced by Jackson Browne.

Parts of this collection were re-recorded for the 1992 release that Jackson Browne produced. Bob Dylan called AKA Grafitti Man the best album of the year. “Rockin’ the Res" opens the CD with an up-tempo beat threaded with cinematic reels of visual images. “Grafitti Man” hinges on a great Davis electric guitar hook.
