In December 2017, KSU became the winner of the federal priority project “Universities as centers of the space for creating innovation” and received the status of a university center for innovative, technological and social development of the region. The total area of the university is 162 thousand square meters.
It was created in its current form in 2016 with the merger of the Nekrasov Kostroma State University and the Kostroma State Technological University.
The priority directions of KSU development are new materials, information and social technologies. Supporting areas - natural, human and social sciences, mechanical engineering and other applied engineering technologies, light industry technologies, culture and art, biotechnology.
About University. Kostroma State Technological University is the only university in Russia that trains personnel for the linen industry, and the only one in the Kostroma region that has been training personnel for the textile, light industry, mechanical engineering for 80 years, and for more than 40 years for the forest complex.
Kostroma State Technological University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Kostroma, Kostroma Oblast. It was founded in 1918 and became one of the best Russian Universitiesto study technical sciences.
