The Bruford Tapes is a live 1979 album by the British band Bruford, only issued in the United States, Canada and Japan. It was recorded on July 12, 1979 in Roslyn, New York State and originally broadcast on WLIR radio.

Most of the best songs on these two LPs are also on the 1979 live album The Bruford Tapes, which I'd ordinarily recommend as a starting point for this group. However, while the performances on The Bruford Tapes are great, the sound quality isn't, and at least one track is incomplete.

Release Information. Broadcast live from My Father's Place, Roslyn, New York on WLIR - FM 92.7 - July 12, 1979. This album was packaged as a mimicked bootleg, the original vinyl release had the number BRUBOOT 28. This album also introduced guitarist - John Clark as Holdsworth's replacement.
