L'amphithéâtre de Grand est un amphithéâtre de l'époque gallo-romaine, situé à Grand, dans l'actuel département français des Vosges. Il s'agit du huitième plus grand amphithéâtre du monde romain. Il fait l'objet d'études archéologiques dans le cadre du Site archéologique de Grand.
Hace 1 día · L'amphithéâtre de Grand. Long de 148 mètres au niveau du corridor central, cet amphithéâtre figure parmi les plus grands édifices de ce type dans l’Empire romain. Après une première phase de construction à la fin du I er siècle, l’édifice a été rénové par la suite, comme en témoigne le grand appareil du corridor occidental.
Inaugurated on August 5, 1889, the Grand Amphitheatre has been listed as a historic building since 1975. This prestigious room can hold nearly a thousand people. Its surface area is 2,630 square metres (27m long, 28m wide). Around the tiers there are ten large galleries (with the gallery of honour in the middle) on two levels.
