1 de jul. de 2020 · On the last day of June 2020, we lost a great Louisville musician to cancer, Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon. Wink was a member of many bands including Blinders, Bodeco, and Eleventh Dream Day, and also worked as a solo artist. He was also known as a punk rock legend in this town.
8 de jul. de 2020 · Original Louisville punk bands Skull of Glee, Bunny Butthole, The Blinders and later bands The Bulls, Eleventh Dream Day and Bodeco all had one member in common: Matthew “Wink” O’Bannon. Wink, his adopted moniker, stuck after choosing the punk name Wink Cadaver.
16 de sept. de 2021 · Louisville Musicians come together to honor Wink O'Bannon. Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon was a guitarist with some well known Louisville bands including Bodeco and Eleventh Dream Day. He passed away last year leaving many friends and former bandmates bereft.
Follow-ups Beet (1989) and Lived to Tell (1991) won more strong reviews but did not sell many copies; Figi left during the Lived to Tell tour and was replaced by Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon. The band made a stab for commercial success with 1993's El Moodio, but the effort was unsuccessful and EDD was dropped from Atlantic's roster.
