Hardworking John is a bluegrass original referencing the Battle of New Orleans. Some serious flat picking on this tune and a chance for Bromberg to show off his chops. Sharon follows in a swampy style. Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Keith Godchaux and Billy Kreutzmann join in to kick this one into overdrive.
