Abdul Ghaffār Khān (Pashto: عبدالغفار خان; 6 February 1890 – 20 January 1988), also known as Basha Khan (باچا خان, 'King of Chiefs') or Badshah Khan (بادشاه خان) was a Pashtun Afghan independence activist, and founder of the Khudai Khidmatgar resistance movement against British colonial rule in India.

Abdul Ghaffar Khan (born 1890, Utmanzai, India—died Jan. 20, 1988, Peshawar, Pak.) was the foremost 20th-century leader of the Pashtuns (Pakhtuns, or Pathans; a Muslim ethnic group of Pakistan and Afghanistan), who became a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and was called the “Frontier Gandhi.”
