Lush, dreamy and pure silken sound woven and directed by a master...Really nice alt music to ones daily listening routine music. Cole along with American lapsteel musician Bruce Kaphan are two dedicated to exploring new compositional and sonic landscapes within the confines of the lapsteel.
Song selection on “Transparent Music” is classical (or neoclassical, if you prefer), and Cole manages to generate the scope of classical music, the grand sweep and the idea that a beautiful song is a force of nature; a manifestation of the universe.

B.J. Cole was the premier session steel guitarist for many English artists and groups during the late ’60s, ’70s, and beyond including Scott Walker, Marc Bolan, Björk and Luke Vibert. Transparent Music is his second solo release and features hazy ambient renditions of Satie, Debussy, and Ravel along with a few original compositions.
