“Old Friend: The Deluxe Collection” commemorates the anniversary of what would have been Ms Hyman’s 72nd birthday, on 6th July 2021. She died in New York in June 1995, just before her 46th birthday, from an overdose of prescription pills and Vodka. Hours before she was due to perform at the famed Apollo Theatre.
