In 1962, Bruce became a member of the London-based band Blues Incorporated, led by Alexis Korner, in which he played the upright bass. The band also included organist Graham Bond , saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith and drummer Ginger Baker .

In 1961, Korner and Davies formed Blues Incorporated, [10] initially a loose-knit group of musicians with a shared love of electric blues and R&B music. [4] The group included, at various times, Charlie Watts, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Long John Baldry, Graham Bond, Danny Thompson and Dick Heckstall-Smith. [4]
In 1981, he joined the "supergroup" Rocket 88, led by Ian Stewart and based on boogie-woogie keyboard players, which featured a rhythm section comprising Jack Bruce and Charlie Watts, among others, as well as a horn section. Korner died from lung cancer in 1984.

27 de feb. de 2019 · After Korner and Davis split for “authentic” artistic reasons, Korner’s band became jazzier but soon split up when Graham Bond took Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker with him to form his own band. From now on, schism ruled, and the personnel changed with the weather.
4 de may. de 2018 · John McVie’s drinking had got him the sack to be replaced by Jack Bruce, who was quickly poached by Manfred Mann, causing McVie to be rehired. There was no sense of stability about the Bluesbreakers at all.
