During his hiatus from metal music, Fischer had also finished work on an autobiographical book, called Are You Morbid?, which was published by London-based Sanctuary Publishing to fan acclaim in 2000. Reunion and Monotheist (2001–2008) Tom Warrior performing in 2006.
In 2000, Fischer's book Are You Morbid?: Into the Pandemonium of Celtic Frost [1] received many favorable reviews, including this from Record Collector : "Intelligent, humble, questioning, insightful – the cultured side of extreme metal".
