Danny Weis (pronounced /wiːs/; born September 28, 1948) is an American guitarist, best known as a founding member of both Iron Butterfly and Rhinoceros, as well as co-writer of Rhinoceros's only charting single, "Apricot Brandy".

I am Danny Weis, the co founder of the original 60’s rock group Iron Butterfly. I also co wrote the 60’s instrumental hit Apricot Brandy by Rhinoceros. In addition, I have received Gold and Platinum American albums for my work with Bette Midler in the movie The Rose.
Danny joined his first band at age 13, taught guitar at 16, and by the age of 18, had co-founded the 1960’s group, Iron Butterfly. While playing at famed Sunset Strip clubs like The Whiskey A Go Go, The Galaxy, and the Troubador, he quickly earned the reputation of “great guitar player” by his peers, and many fans.
