3 de feb. de 2017 · Fin (originally titled Dive) is the debut solo album by Syd (Sydney Bennett), also known as Syd Tha Kid, co-founder of The Internet and former member of Odd Future.
Following The Internet’s 2015 critically acclaimed third album Ego Death, frontwoman and Odd Future alumnus Syd has released her debut solo record, Fin. Departing slightly from Ego Death’s smooth neo-soul sound, Fin channels early-2000s R&B stars such as Aaliyah while remaining firmly grounded in Syd’s unique character and charm.
Syd. Syd, of The Internet and Odd Future fame, shows another side of her musical persona. Fin takes a carnal R&B turn with all the complex emotions it brings. Her demure voice gives strong vapors of Aaliyah and Velvet Rope-era Janet Jackson on “Drown In It,” “Body,” and “Know.”.
