Ron Riddle joined BÖC in July of 1987, for a European tour. Riddle was recruited by Buck Dharma, who had seen him playing with a band in upstate New York. Riddle had previously worked with progressive band Happy the Man, and recorded the album "Crafty Hands" with them in 1977.

16 de abr. de 2012 · Spanning four decades and beyond, Ron Riddle’s music career is nothing less than stellar. Perhaps best known as the drummer for Blue Oyster Cult, Ron is also credited with the scoring of music for more than 400 films for national and worldwide broadcast.
Ron Riddle's career in music has spanned over 4 decades. Ron started playing the drums at the age of 8. His early influences were the Beatles and the English Invasion. He started his own band by the time he was eleven. Growing up in Midwest was both challenging and a gift for Ron because he found the experience limiting.
Upon receiving an offer to tour in Greece, Blue Öyster Cult reformed in 1987 with returning keyboardist Lanier and new drummer Ron Riddle. The band's next studio album, Imaginos, was originally recorded as an Albert Bouchard solo album, but was later reworked and released by the band.
