Geoffrey Arthur Holland Pearson OC (December 24, 1927 – March 18, 2008) was a Canadian diplomat and author. He was the son of former Prime Minister of Canada Lester B. Pearson and Maryon Pearson.

Geoffrey Pearson's highly-readable book. In it he provides a colourful history of the social perceptions of the criminal question, whether concerning contemporary "muggers", the "hooligan" gangs of Edwardian Britain or the "garotters" of mid-Victorian London, illustrating that the preoccupation with lawlessness is no new phenomenon.
