22 de may. de 2024 · St. Francis Xavier, the patron saint of the College, was born in 1506 in the castle of Xavier, a fortress in the Basque country of Navarre. In 1525 he left Spain for the University of Paris, where he was to remain for eleven years.

Hace 5 días · The original name of the college was The Athenaeum, but it was dedicated from the beginning to the patronage of St. Francis Xavier. At first, the college was administered by the bishop and his diocesan priests, but as it grew, it began to require professional academic leadership.
