The Rockin’ Ramrods were an American garage rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, who were active in the 1960s and early 1970s. Along with the Barbarians, the Remains and the Lost, they were one of the most popular acts in the Boston area.
Ronn Campisi began writing and producing the band’s music. In 1968, after being signed by producer Alan Lorber, the group’s album, written by Ronn, was released on the MGM label under their new name, Puff.
In the grand scheme of Boston music rock ’n’ roll (post-folk, pre Bosstown sound) in the early to mid 60’s, the Rockin’ Ramrods ruled the local music scene.
