Stryper is an American Christian metal band from La Mirada, California. The group's lineup consists of Michael Sweet (lead vocals, guitar), Oz Fox (guitar), Perry Richardson (bass guitar), and Robert Sweet (drums).
7 de oct. de 2023 · Leatherwolf's career began in earnest around 1982, and after demoing some material and paying the local clubs, the above mentioned trio, plus bassist Matt Hurich and drummer Dean Roberts, recorded an eponymous EP for release through independent Tropical Records, in 1984.

He was replaced by bassist Matt Hurich, who eventually ended up not working out. So session bassist Brad Cobb took Gaines' place while recording the album. However, before the tour began, Sweet asked Gaines to rejoin as he felt it wasn't right performing as "Stryper" without him.
In 1986, Matt Hurich left to join the band Stryper and was replaced by Paul Carman, formerly of Black Sheep. [1] The band signed a new major label record deal with Island Records, [1] and released the confusingly titled, Kevin Beamish produced Leatherwolf in 1987. [2]
