The King Arts Complex offers professional quality performing arts opportunities for students studying dance, music, and theater. Students are encouraged to express themselves, emphasizing creativity and experimentation through age-appropriate projects, themes and skills.
Youth Orchestra. Central Ohio’s aspiring young instrumentalists in grades 9-12 perform in this ensemble directed by Associate Conductor of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Andrés Lopera. The 88-member orchestra has students from 19 high schools in nine counties.
Star Performance Academy offers art, adventures in music, and private and group lessons in violin, voice, and guitar. We seek to make musical theatre opportunities available to children and adults. We offer a number of camps, programs, and lessons for a variety of ages.
Plays, musicals, cabaret skits, improvisation—Academy children get many opportunities to shine in the spotlight and back stage. Performance is not an extra-curricular activity at Academy but an essential part of a student’s personal and academic growth, teaching accountability and instilling confidence in their talents.
