Threadgill's writing uses multithemes, multisections, band counterpoint, complex harmony and a double rhythm section with two drummers, bass and cello. Henry's alto sax improvisation on "Sweet Holy Rag" is the stand out for me, there are other fine solos and interplay and individual voices.
