Since 1922, CSM has been a gateway to higher education leading to university transfer, career preparation and advancement, and professional and personal development. The College currently serves approximately 13,000 day, evening and weekend students annually.
College of San Mateo offers two types of certificates: Certificate of Achievement (16 units or more) Certificate of Specialization (Fewer than 16 units, not state approved)
The SMCCCD is a three-college district located between San Francisco and San Jose in the Silicon Valley. Our Colleges serve nearly 20,000 students each year and offer the first two years of instruction in a wide variety of degree and transfer programs, as well as vocational-technical programs.
College of San Mateo is located at the northern corridor of Silicon Valley and situated on a 153-acre site in the San Mateo hills. The college currently serves approximately 10,000 day, evening and weekend students.
