Jeff " Tain " Watts (born January 20, 1960) is a jazz drummer who has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Betty Carter, Michael Brecker, Alice Coltrane, Ravi Coltrane, and others.
Watts’ inspiration, though, was a little less gritty than what Muddy had in mind. “I got the title from Isis, my youngest daughter,” he reveals, smiling. “She was telling us she wanted to go to Chick-fil-A, but she didn’t know how to say it, so it came out ‘Chicken Ballet.’”
