Lynette Christine Knackstedt (April 26, 1970 – December 7, 2007) was an American punk and ska musician, as well as a member of the band Skankin' Pickle.
Lynette Knackstedt passed away on Friday, December 7th, 2008. We went to middle school, high school, and spent 7 of our adult years together in Skankin' Pickle. She was only 37 years old. Lynette was the much loved guitarist of the San Francisco based sextet.
Skankin' Pickle first formed in December 1988, made up of students from Westmont High School and Los Gatos High School. The band played their first show on April 28, 1989, consisting of bassist and vocalist Mike Mattingly, saxophonist and vocalist Mike Park, guitarist and vocalist Lynette Knackstedt and drummer Chuck Phelps.
13 de dic. de 2007 · We received an email earlier this week that Skankin' Pickle guitarist Lynette Knackstedt died last week in the band's practice space. We're still waiting for confirmations on the details, but Punknews.org reported that Lynette died last Friday, Dec. 7, at age 37.
