Collegium Fridericianum was a prestigious gymnasium in Königsberg, Prussia, founded in 1698 and named after King Frederick I. It had notable alumni such as Immanuel Kant, Johann Gottfried Herder, and Eduard von Simson, and was destroyed in World War II.

The Fridericianum is a museum in Kassel, Germany. Built in 1779, it is one of the oldest public museums in Europe. [1] Since 1955 the quinquennial art festival documenta has been centred on the site, [2] with some artworks displayed on Friedrichsplatz, in front of the building. [3]

The Fridericianum was founded in 1779 as one of the first public museums in the world. Since 1988 it has been an internationally renowned art gallery. A broad spectrum of contemporary art, from new discoveries to more established works, is displayed in over 2,000 square meters of exhibition space.
