The Sun, Moon & Herbs is a 1971 studio album by New Orleans R&B artist Dr. John, noted for its contributions from Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, and other well-known musicians. It was originally intended to be a three-album set but was cut down to a single disc.
The Sun, Moon & Herbs was Dr John's last 'Night Tripper' album, but he made sure his witch-doctor persona went out on a high, arguably bettering the three albums that came before it. Most notably it benefited from some really fantastic production, sounding deeper and darker than ever before.

While any Dr. John 70’s album is worth securing, The Sun, Moon and Herbs is an eclectic jewel that showcases The Night Tripper in one of his most exploratory recordings.
16 de ene. de 2021 · Remedies. Following the commercial failure of Babylon, things went from bad to worse for Dr John, before he could begin work on his third album Remedies. This started when a deal went south, and he was arrested by the police and ended up in jail.
