Elizabeth II, the first monarch to be titled Queen of Australia, wearing her Australian insignia as sovereign of the Order of Australia and the Australian Wattle Spray Brooch, 2011. Elizabeth II died on 8 September 2022. She was the longest serving monarch and was succeeded by her son, Charles III.
