The Monks of Doom is an American alternative rock band, formed in California in 1986. The band's music draws from post-punk, progressive rock, indie rock, psychedelic and folk rock traditions. [1] The group is a side project of the band Camper Van Beethoven, with whom all Monks of Doom members have been involved.
David Immerglück, Victor Krummenacher, Greg Lisher, and Chris Pedersen, collectively known as Monks of Doom, release their first new album of all new material since 1993’s “Forgery” this fall on Pitch A Tent records.
Monks of Doom were formed in 1986 by four members of the ever-popular college/indie rock band Camper Van Beethoven: bassist extraordinaire Victor Krummenacher, guitarists Greg Lisher and Chris Molla and drummer Chris Pedersen.
