John Lee Hooker Jr. (born January 15, 1952) is an American blues musician and Christian minister. He is the son of influential blues singer John Lee Hooker (1917–2001). [1] The younger Hooker's musical style is markedly modernized, featuring contemporary arrangements.
He hopes that his book, "The Life and Times of John Lee Hooker Jr.", co-written with Professor Julia Simon and published by Littlefield and Rowan Book Publishers, would encourage individuals who have been through difficult times. Music is in his thoughts, and the Gospel is in his soul, all for the glory of his Master, the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he serves.
