I thought it smelled like a leather couch. But, a year went by and I put my nose on it again, and I liked it enough to buy it. It's no longer my favorite leather/floral scent but it was up until I replaced it with Louis Vuitton- Ombre Nomade.
3 de ene. de 2023 · On to the storage smell. I bought cheap leather on an auction site and was warned beforehand it had a smell from having spent a long time in storage. I asked whether it was mildew and the seller answered no, it's a normal smell that disappears if you wash the leather or just air it outside.

3 de feb. de 2017 · If it smells like kerosene, chuck it. Most jute/sisal rope sold at stores is coated with crap to make it softer and to deter bugs and rodents.
Leather rarely smells like the original cured leather. It smells like the fragrance that's used after it's cured to soften or mask the chemical smells. Leather in the Middle Ages smelled horrible because most curing processes at the time used urine.
