At Lewis School Pengam we are very proud of our strong heritage and values. Founded in 1729, our school motto “Ni ddychwel doe – yesterday never returns” is very much a principle to live by. We believe every moment counts in the education of the young people who are part of our community.
Lewis Boys School, Pengam is a comprehensive school, founded in 1729 in the parish and village of Gelligaer and, later, moved to the nearby village of Gilfach, in the Rhymney Valley in South Wales.

Lewis' School, Pengam in the Rhymney Valley was founded in the eighteenth century to provide education for boys. A school started in 1762 and in 1853 a new school was constructed on Tir y Bont at Pengam which admitted girls and boys; school instruction was later altered to provide a Grammar School type of education.
The Lewis Center Music Academy offers private music lessons in piano, voice, violin, guitar, drums, and more, as well as early childhood music classes. Our goal is to foster creativity, confidence, and grit in students of all ages through fun and engaging music instruction.
