Ministry is an American industrial metal band founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1981 by producer, singer, and instrumentalist Al Jourgensen. Originally a synth-pop outfit, Ministry evolved into one of the pioneers of industrial rock and industrial metal in the late 1980s.
For 30 years, John Bechdel has steadily built up a reputation as one of the music world’s most professional, versatile, and reliable talents, both as a musician and as a producer.
He’s lent his skills to some of modern music’s hardest hitting bands – MINISTRY, Killing Joke, PRONG, Fear Factory, and Murder Inc. just to name a few – and now, keyboardist John Bechdel shares his remarkable story in a documentary titled Killing the Joke: The John Bechdel Story.
