Mark Chatfield was destined to be a guitar player the moment he saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, he has been in bands since junior high. Right out of high school, Mark and a few friends formed The Godz and were signed to Casablanca Records within a year.

5 de ene. de 2024 · After 23 years, Bruce Kulick has announced his retirement from Grand Funk Railroad. Long-time Bob Seger guitarist, Mark Chatfield, will take his place and is set to make his live debut on January 12 at Ledyard, Connecticut’s Foxwood’s Casino.

About The Godz - Resurrected. In late 2019, Mark Chatfield decided to “resurrect” The Godz based on the original concept. Being the only surviving original member (and Bob Hill having no interest in performing live), Mark assumed the task of keeping the legacy alive. Covid-19 happened - project shelved.
