Monotheist is the sixth and final studio album by the Swiss extreme metal band Celtic Frost. The album was released in May 2006 and was the first new recording released by the band in 16 years. Upon its release, the album was met with universal acclaim by music critics.
Monotheist es el quinto y último álbum de estudio de la banda suiza de metal extremo Celtic Frost, grabado entre 2002 y 2005, y publicado en mayo de 2006 a través de Noise Records. Este trabajo fue fruto de la reunión del grupo, tras casi una década de separación y fue el único grabado por el batería Franco Sesa.

21 de ago. de 2015 · Fraguada durante 3 años, Monotheist es una obra que no por la lentitud y mimo con la que fue dada forma quiere decir que en ella nos topemos con las partituras y arreglos más complejos, sino con el fruto de la búsqueda del máximo impacto mediante la más mínima expresión.
Monotheist stands as the most surprising 2006 record and also as one of the best material Celtic Frost ever released. For doom metal fans, this record is a must while for older fans it might be a sort of surprise, depends on their preferences if the surprise is either positive or negative.

The crushing guitar tone, ground shattering drum sound and of course Tom G Warriors trademark vocals are on point.
