In attendance that night was a young drummer called John Rutsey, one quarter of a local rock band called Rush, alongside keyboardist Lindy Young, guitarist Alex Lifeson and bassist Geddy Lee.
This began in January 1969 when Lindy Young came on-board at the request of Lifeson to play keyboards and occasional back-up guitars. Lee was asked to leave Rush that May, and he went on to form his own band which he first called Ogilvie , but later opted for the name Judd .
