Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn (March 3, 1783 – July 29, 1851) was an American soldier, lawyer, author, and statesman. Dearborn was the first President of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, a member of the Society of the Cincinnati, and the author of many books.

Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn was born on March 3, 1783 in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States, son of Maj Gen Henry Dearborn (1751–1829) and Dorcas Osgood (1752–1810). Henry married Hannah Swett Lee (born in 1783; daughter of William Raymond Lee), on 3 March 1807, in Marblehead, Essex, Massachusetts. Their children were;

Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn (1783-1851) of Roxbury, Massachusetts was a politician, militia officer, author and horticulturist. Born in Exeter, New Hampshire, he was the son of Henry Dearborn (1751-1829), an American army officer and statesman, and Dorcas Osgood Marble.
After fighting at Ticonderoga in July 1777, Dearborn was appointed major in the regiment commanded by Alexander Scammell. In September 1777, he took part in the Saratoga campaign against Burgoyne at Freeman's Farm .
