The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (informally referred to as The Bosstones and often stylized as The Mighty Mighty BossToneS) were an American ska punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1983. [1] [2] [3] From the band's inception, lead vocalist Dicky Barrett , bassist Joe Gittleman , tenor saxophonist Tim "Johnny Vegas" Burton and dancer ("Bosstone") Ben Carr remained constant members.
Recorded in 15 days, the album was produced by J. Steven Soles. [10] [11] [12] Four of its songs were cowritten by Jewel, who also provided backing vocals. [13] [14] Jim Keltner, Leland Sklar, Benmont Tench, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones ' horn section were among the musicians who played on One Left Shoe.
