This collection has a few instrumental covers of Jan and Dean / Beach Boys / Rip Chords numbers but the highlights are the originals. The record starts off with 'Rail Vette', which sounds an awful lot like 'Stingray' by the Shadows.

Caught somewhere between the homegrown west-coast beat and mediocre discotheque dancing sound, the T-Bones' Boss Drag at the Beach is woefully out of touch with its source material. While their first release carried some audible moments, the heavy use of organ, castanets, and bells do date this release quite mercilessly.
